With many years of installation experience in our team, the consensus is that Isover pipe insulation is the fastest, most economical mineral wool pipe lagging on the market today. Easy to install, the labour costs involved with pipe insulation installation are reduced when this product is specified.

Specially designed as dual-use pipe lagging. Perfect for thermal and acoustic insulation applications, Isover Climpipe is a strong, lightweight, pre-formed fibreglass pipe insulation section that can 'snap on' to pipe easily.

Isover Climcover is ideal for insulating all types of pipework. The sections come with a strengthened aluminium foil covering and a self-adhesive overlap, making installation rapid and ensuring a strong vapour barrier.

Isover Pipe Insulation comes with an aluminium face, making it 'Class O' and resistant to the spread of flame. Climcover is a lightweight, flexible, and mechanically strong, fibreglass pipe insulation solution from Isover. It is designed to provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation to the pipework. They are manufactured in lengths of 1.2m which ensures low thermal bridging, as compared to other pipe lagging products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Isover pipe insulation is made of glass mineral wool or fibreglass

Isover Pipe Insulation

Pipe insulation brings you a range of benefits. In addition to saving energy, they protect your pipes from freezing and external damage. Lagging pipework also prevents condensation and pipe sweating.

Isover clim pipe insulation has been a crowd favourite here at Buy Insulation Online. Made of fibreglass or glass mineral wool, they are supplied in 1.2m lengths in thicknesses ranging from 20-60mm. We deliver them for free in major cities in the Mainland UK. They are ideal for hot water pipe insulation.

Here are some of the main benefits of using Isover Pipe Insulation

Acoustic Insulation:

Isover clim pipe insulation section effectively soundproofs pipework. This helps reduce the noise produced when the water or fluid gushes through the pipes. It helps improve workplace efficiency.

Thermal Insulation:

Isover pipe insulation has a low thermal conductivity of 0.036 W/m.K, which ensures that the heat is in. This helps save energy and money.

Also, with the Isover pipe lagging, the hot water that you spent energy to heat, stays hot and not just warm. This means that the energy used to otherwise re-heat water is also saved.

Water-Resistance

Fibreglass pipe insulation is water-resistant. Additionally, they have foil facings which act as a vapour barrier, protecting both, the pipe insulation and its application from the adverse effects of moisture. It also helps prevent condensation in the pipework.

Fire Insulation:

Fibreglass pipe insulation by Isover is rated A1 bu r\Eurocalss, which is the highest possible fire classification. This means the pipe lagging in non-combustible in nature and does not contribute to the fire in any way.

Can fibreglass pipe insulation be used to insulate outside pipes?

Yes, you can use fibreglass pipe insulation to insulate external pipework, though you will need to clad or cover it with appropriate cladding material.

Where can I buy fibreglass pipe insulation online?

You can buy fibreglass pipe insulation right here at Buy Insulation Online. We supply Isover pipe lagging in thicknesses ranging from 20-60mm, in lengths of 1.2m.

How do I know the right size of fibreglass pipe insulation?

To determine the right size of fibreglass pipe insulation for you, you will need to know the outer diameter of the pipe you want to insulate and the thickness of the insulation you need.

For example, if you have to insulate a 22mm copper pipe and the fibreglass pipe insulation needs to be 25mm thick, then the right size for the pipe would be 22mm x 25mm. If you have a 20mm steel pipe that requires  25mm insulation, then again the right size for you is 22mm x 25mm.

If you are uncertain about the correct pipe insulation for you, we are just a call or email away.

What pipes can I insulate with fibreglass pipe insulation?

Fibreglass pipe insulation is compatible with all types of pipework. YOu can use them to insulate copper pipes, mild steel, steel pipes and so on

Can you put fibreglass pipe insulation around hot water pipes?

Yes, Isover clim fibreglass pipe insulation works efficiently to restrict heat loss in hot water. It ensures that the water stays hot and not just warm.

Can you put fibreglass pipe insulation around cold water pipes?

Although fibreglass pipe insulation can be used to insulate pipes with temperatures up to 5°C, it is not really the best option. The best way to insulate cold water pipes is to use foam pipe lagging like Armacell or K-flex.

How long does fibreglass pipe insulation last?

Ideally, fibreglass pipe insulation lasts relatively long, for up to 80 years almost. But conditions are rarely ideal. Though fibreglass pipe insulation is one of the effective ways to insulate pipes, you need to check the insulation periodically, to see if any external factors have affected the insulation.

Is fibreglass harmful?

Fibreglass is made of recycled glass. The fibres are known to lodge in your respiratory tract and cause irritation. They are also known to cause itching when touched with bare hands.

However, if you take the necessary precautions while dealing with fibreglass pipe insulation, then you should be safe and irritation free. Ensure you have at least a mask and gloves on before you install fibreglass pipe insulation.

Can fibreglass pipe insulation soundproof pipes?

Yes, Isover Clim pipe lagging offers effective acoustic insulation. It is made with fibreglass or glass mineral wool, which in itself is sound-absorbing material. So these fibreglass pipe insulation sections effectively absorb sound waves.
