Paroc pipe insulation is a mineral wool pipe-insulating material that is ideal for use in heating and hot water pipe insulation applications. It can also be used to insulate air-conditioning and ventilation pipes.

Made with top-quality mineral wool, this pipe insulation section is supplied in 1.2m lengths which helps reduce heat loss due to thermal bridging. It keeps hot water hot, thereby reducing heat loss in pipes and thus saving energy. In fact, this mineral wool pipe lagging also reduces the need to reheat water which again contributes to lower utility bills.

Thermal Properties:

Paroc pipe insulation is best used to insulate the heating and hot-water pipes. It exhibits excellent thermal insulation properties even at temperatures as high as 250 °C. However, the temperature on the foil-facing should not exceed 80°C

Fire protection:

Paroc Alucoat T is A2 rated by Euroclass. It is considered non-combustible and has low-flame spread characteristics. The fire performance of mineral wool does not deteriorate with high temperatures.

Foil-Faced Pipe insulation:

Paroc Alucoat T has factory-applied aluminium foil facings that prevent the entry of moisture or vapour into the application. It, therefore, protects pipes from rusting and corrosion and also from damage due to external factors.

Prevents pipe condensation:

Paroc pipe insulation protects pipes from condensing or sweating. By covering the pipework and minimising its contact with its surrounding, it increases the dew point, therefore eliminating the possibility of condensation or sweating in pipework, even when pipes pass through unheated spaces like lofts, crawl spaces etc.

Key Features:

  • Low thermal conductivity of the Paroc pipe insulation section helps maintain temperature
  • They are compatible for use in heating, air-conditioning and ventilation applications.

Installation Instructions

To ensure a successful installation of Paroc Pipe Insulation in 1.2m lengths, follow these straightforward guidelines for optimal efficiency and performance.

Begin by measuring and cutting the insulation to the correct length for your pipes using a sharp knife or scissors. Ensure a snug fit around the pipe without any gaps or spaces to maximise insulation effectiveness.

Secure the insulation in place using adhesive or tape, making sure it is firmly sealed to prevent heat loss or condensation buildup. When dealing with bends or joints, use extra pieces to cover these areas adequately.

Ensure that no part of the pipe is left exposed for complete coverage. For the best results, carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions and avoid common mistakes such as leaving gaps or using damaged insulation.

If troubleshooting is required, consider DIY solutions such as adding extra layers in problematic areas. By sticking to these best practices, you can guarantee peak performance and efficiency from your Paroc Pipe Insulation.

Maintenance Tips

Curious about how to guarantee the longevity and efficiency of your Paroc Pipe Insulation? To ensure your insulation performs at its best, regular care is essential. Start by examining it frequently for any signs of damage or wear.

If necessary, gently clean the surface with a damp cloth or mild detergent to maintain its effectiveness. Remember, excessive moisture or harsh chemicals can degrade the insulation over time, so avoid exposing it to these elements.

Secure the insulation properly using recommended fastening methods to prevent dislodging, ensuring it stays in place for maximum efficiency. Should you notice significant deterioration, consider seeking professional maintenance or replacement to prevent energy loss.
