Polyisobutylene insulation covering (PIB) is the ideal waterproofing membrane for ventilation ducting and pipe insulation cladding. It gives your exposed insulation and ductwork that final protective coating. This tough, water-resistant PIB thermal insulation cladding sheet has high abrasion resistance and can withstand mechanical damage. It is produced from high molecular weight polyisobutylene, which is modified to achieve optimum properties.
It is resistant to UV and ozone and is a long-lasting and durable product. It shows exceptional physical properties even at temperatures as low as -30°C. PIB insulation exhibits excellent chemical resistance. It is made to last and effectively protects the pipe and duct insulation from damage due to extreme conditions. It is waterproof, so it does not support the growth of moulds and other microbes.

Application:
- PIB insulation is a weatherproofing material for insulated ductwork and pipework.
- Cladding insulation is also used in chemical works, oil refineries and power stations.
Installation:
- PIB insulation sheet should not be used to hold the pipe insulation in place. The pipe insulation needs to be secured in place first before applying the PIB insulation covering.
- PIB sheeting can be easily applied to insulate the pipeline. Cut the PIB insulation to size and wrap it around the insulated pipework.
- Used PIB welding agent, a strongly formulated adhesive to provide a neat finish to the PIB insulation covering.
This product is ideal for outdoor pipe insulation cladding and exterior pipe cladding, making it an excellent choice for outside duct insulation. Plysolene PIB insulation, with its PIB protective cladding for pipes, is highly effective in protecting against harsh environmental conditions. Whether for outdoor pipe wrap, cladding external pipe insulation, or PIB sheets, this solution is versatile and durable, with the added benefit of chalked PIB cladding from Plysolene.

Orders cancelled after the order confirmation is sent, may attract a restocking fee.
If you want to return insulation that was ordered in excess or not of use anymore, you can return them within 3 weeks from the date of receipt, provided they are unused and in a resalable condition. Please contact us via email and we will assist you accordingly.
