Protecta FR Putty Pad and Cord are essential fire protection products designed to maintain the integrity of your building's fire resistance.
Protecta FR Putty Pad is specifically engineered to be installed in dry lining partitions, particularly around electrical switches and sockets. When these drywall partitions are compromised by electrical penetrations, the original fire rating of the partition is at risk. However, using Protecta non-setting putty pad inside or outside the socket, ensuring that the fire rating of the partition is reinstated.
In the event of a fire, this intumescent pad and cord will expand, preventing the passage of smoke and flames by creating a fire-resistant barrier that prevents burn-through at the location of electrical switches, sockets, or pipe penetrations. This ensures that the flames in a fire are contained, and the integrity of the fire rating is maintained.
Protecta fire-rated putty pad is also a sound and air movement rated sealant, designed to prevent the passage of smoke, sound, and air movement during its service life. The pad is an ideal solution for tap water wall boxes and ensures that breaches by electrical switches or sockets do not compromise the fire rating of the partition.
Protecta Putty Cord complements the pad, providing flexibility and ease of installation around irregular shapes and in tight spaces. Both the putty pad and cord are non-setting, allowing them to be molded and fitted as required, making them ideal for use around electrical or pipe penetrations.

- Incorrectly ordered doods can be returned within 14 days of delivery at our discretion. The customer is responsible for ensuring the goods are returned back to the address provided, in good condition where they will be inspected prior to processing any refunds. Restocking fee may be applied
